A YouTuber revealed Apple’s claims about the durability of the device. Apple Watch Ultra to test sapphire crystal glass by resisting the drop test, a jar of nails, and repeated blows with a hammer.

TechRax, first tested the ‘Apple Watch Ultra’, a popular channel to test the durability of products, by dropping it from a height of about 4 feet. The “Apple Watch Ultra” remained mostly scratch-free, along with some dents along the titanium case from falling. Next, a jar of “Apple Watch Ultra” was mixed in the nails and once again left without a visible trace.

TechRax also tested the durability of the ‌Apple Watch Ultra‌’s sapphire crystal display by repeatedly hammering it. In testing, the watch only withstood repeated blows with a hammer until the table first took some damage, until it finally cracked after repeated blows.

Although the display of the ‌Apple Watch Ultra‌ was not damaged initially, the watch did not turn on after repeated hits. Failure to turn on the power may indicate that some internal components may be damaged, even if the glass was not broken at first. Of course, the test is unrealistic in depicting a typical use case of the “Apple Watch Ultra”, but it may reassure some customers about the power of the sapphire crystal display.

Apple claims that the “Apple Watch Ultra” is the most rugged, durable and extreme Apple Watch ever and aims to compete directly with Garmin. In response to the “Apple Watch Ultra”, Garmin said: measures battery life in “months”, not “hours”. The ‌Apple Watch Ultra‌ starts at $799 and started rolling out to customers this Friday.
