
Digital Eclipse has released a brand new update for their outstanding TMNT builds. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, yesterday. And today, in a livestream, the developer shared some key details that are part of the game’s first major update. a new Home icon (Thanks, Gematsu!).
The game’s first update is available to download right now on Switch, and the other big title is the addition of online multiplayer. Turtles in Time (SNES). Radical! Now you can play one of the best TMNT games of all time online with your friends!

New Additions
- Changed Main Menu icon to box art. (Change)
- PlayStation 4 controller is now supported. PlayStation 4 joystick support is now implemented (PlayStation 5).
- Xbox arcade stick is now supported. Xbox joystick support is now implemented (Xbox).
- When creating an online lobby, the player can now adjust the lobby size for two arcade games. The guest can limit this to two, three or four players.
- When creating an online lobby, the player can now set the frame delay to “Auto”. When this is set, the input lag is adjusted based on the number of players.
- Added new hardware to it Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters. Ultimate Attacks can now be activated when Story Mode is ON/OFF.
- Added a new enhancement to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters. “Group Mode” can now be enabled ON/OFF. (Available only in Japanese version.)
- A new enhancement has been added to the JP/NA arcade version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The number of lives per coin can be set from one to five.
- A new enhancement has been added to the NA arcade version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. The number of lives per coin can be adjusted between 1-8.
- Added a new enhancement to the JP/NA arcade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Difficulty is adjustable.
- Added a new enhancement to the NA arcade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Difficulty is adjustable.
- Added a new enhancement to the NA arcade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Game Loop can now be turned ON/OFF. When ON, the game restarts from the beginning after the credits.
- Added new button action for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (JP/NA Arcade)”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (NA Arcade)”. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Hyperstone Heist.” Players can now assign a button to “Custom”. This button makes it easy to perform special attacks by pressing “Attack” and “Jump” together.
- A new color enhancement has been added to all Game Boy games. Added Game Boy Color Mode ON/OFF. Added a new “Color Palette” option to the Pause Menu for all Game Boy games. In addition to other filters, players can choose from four color palettes:
- Black and white
- Game Boy Green
- Game Boy Pocket Green
- Game Boy Light Blue
- Adjusted the sound and Main Menu for various games.
- Added additional pages to the Strategy Guide for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters NES and Genesis.
- Added additional pages to the Strategy Guide for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Hyperstone Heist for Genesis.
- Visual settings are saved per game.
Fixed Issues
- Fixed the German translation of “Punch Again and Again” on page 11 of the Strategy Guide.
- In the music player, the cassette icon of the Ninja Turtles show now displays the correct icon.
- Strategy Guide on page 5 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Changed the Turtle Type 3 screenshot.
- In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, Scene Selection enhancements now work even after changing settings in Options.
- In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Hyperstone Heist, Stage Select enhancements now work when selecting two players.
- Improved Easy Menu Navigation for Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project work now.
- Extra Credits enhancements for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters now work.
- The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time guide in the museum now includes missing pages 18 through 19.
