Marquez posted another video of the moments when the hail started hitting the car.

“Oh my God,” the female passenger yells as her balls of hail slowly begin to smash through the windshield.

Meanwhile, Marquez reveals that the rear window of the vehicle was partially broken.

“I needed to get footage of this… the world needs to see how serious these storms can be in a matter of seconds,” Marquez said in response to a commenter.

Marquez also claimed that some suffered from cuts, bruises and a mild concussion. A photo of the female passenger being treated by a firefighter was shared with a rainbow culminating in the background.

Marquez shared photos as the storm passed, and some drivers drove back onto the highway, some untouched.

In the wake of the storm, Alberta Emergency Alert issued a now defunct Tornado warning on Monday.

Grapefruit-sized hail has been reported in parts of Alberta. The NHP Field Project took a photo of one of their balls filled with a ruler.

Meanwhile, another passenger driving in Markerville, Alberta, showed off a pile of hail snatched from the storm.

“I can’t even do it,” Mhairi wrote on Twitter. I panicked, got this without putting it on the ruler properly. Tennis balls while Markerville is 17:50 KB. They’re still coming down. Stay away.’

Users circulated Twitter by posting photos of their experiences with the hashtag ‘abstorm’.

Storm chaser TL Carmody shared a photo of the family’s car being blown off in the middle of the hailstorm.

‘I met a very shaken family [the] McDonald’s in Innisfail, caught in hail, wrote ‘TL Carmody. ‘Everything is fine and it was nice of them to let me take pictures.’
