All new phones are upgraded to the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip “for the Galaxy”, a special version of the processor that companies have theoretically optimized for faster performance, better graphics with ray tracing, and faster AI processing.

The chip provides further enhancements to the phones’ computational photography capabilities, such as improved low-light performance and smarter processing for selfies. This front camera has also been normalized across the range, an increase from the 10-megapixel resolution of the S22 and S22 Plus, but a drop from its predecessor. S22 Ultras 40 megapixels. The improved speed also allows for 1080p 120fps recording for slow motion, down from 60fps which should yield better results.
